Once upon a time there lived a little girl in a big family.  She was a very polite girl but not so strong. Her family said she was a very, very weak girl. She didn't have any friends until one day…… When the little girl went to school her mum made her look like she was spoilt when she wasn't!!! Every day she went to the grave yards. Then she somehow died.The police came and said that a ghost went into her body and took the body. Her dream now was to take over the world every day she trapped humans in a dungeon and feasted on them. Of course there was no blood but they all turned into ghosts and she grew bigger and bigger and bigger it was halloween time. The girl gave herself a name since her parents didn't bother and she called herself devilina. So it was halloween in town and her “so called” brother jackson came to the castle and said “TRICK OR TREAT”. You know how they usually give you a treat well this time every child that came to devilina castle they would get a trick!!. She would give them a chocolate bar and say to the child eat this bar in front of your family. So he did and then he suddenly turned into a statue. Did i mention a ghost was following him home from the castle? And she could she everything she was laughing so much and then she did it to heaps of children and left only a little bit of children left. So devilina transformed into a mother raised the child as hers and took care of her baby the baby was called Monica when monica was a bit older develina [known as the mum] lost her form of being a ghost and she turned into a REAL HUMAN. Then there was the child walking outside at midnight with no weapons just a torch and then….. BOOM BOOM BOOM she was stuck in a marshmallow cage with heaps of chocolate sauce. Lucky her mom told her how to escape bite her way out of course and fight the guards but she dropped her torch on the road it slipped out of her hand. So she fought them bare hand Wapow Smack Pow Boom and she finished the fight she won of course. Then woke up at home : > Then when she was playing outside with her friends. They talked about their nightmares Monica said hers was school, Yuri said hers was homework, The two twins had the same nightmare there names were Sayori and Natsuki they said there nightmare was if the teacher was a giant and he gave us stacks of homework and if we got them wrong he would throw a pen at us... I admit that is one of my nightmares the next day it was Monica's birthday she was turning 15. She was so excited she made a huge as cake and Monica and friends partied heaps until the end of the day. They had a nice picnic at the beach watching the sun go down the end hahahahahahahaha just kidding. They went home and had a sleepover the girls went to bed I mean they were fake sleeping of course. Then they woke up and played a game of truth or dare. After playing they all got hungry so they did rock paper scissors and guess who had to get snacks??? Monica that’s who so she went down to get snacks the food she got was cakes, cupcakes, muffins, chips and chocolate chip cookies and some drinks coca cola flavoured and quietly went back into the room she was good at sneaking but bad at keeping secrets but little did they know monica at the end of the sleepover monica took her friends and hung yuri up on the wall with natsuki and sayori

On Tuesday the 31st we went back to Te tinana again to see what we need and to prepare for friday and thursday the first thing we did was talk with nina and we had to remember what we did yesterday, so when she asked us some questions some people in the class answered them but then we got to the fun part when we got to use some of the tools I loved when it was my part we were using some of these color things i forgot what they were called but they were to see how warm the water was mine was 3.14 that was how cold it was!!!

reflection- it was still trying to remember stuff but it was quite easy

On monday the 30th 0f july we went down to Te Tinana I really loved the part where we played a game called “who dirtied the water” it was so fun because i gotta watch how dirty the water got but the not-so-fun part was because i was sitting by bobby and she had a jar and guess what she had in the jar!!! Sewers gross.I found it interesting when some people had things i never heard of before which was really cool i learnt new names and how dirty the water actually can get it was so fun but the second not-so-fun part was when we had to sit down for ages which you might think is fun but not for me i'm more fidgety then the people in my class.

reflection-it was a bit hard because i had to remember stuff and im not that good at remembering stuff

THE FREAKY TOY

WALT- we are learning to use descrpitive vocab in our writing.

This is the work i have written and edditted myself it is still a

work in progress!!!

Once upon a time there lived a boy called michael. He loved sleeping he had 5 naps a day!!! Unbelievable!!! [AT LUNCH TIME]. He had his lunch then walked to his room and then he heard this weird noise it was so weird he jumped like a startled frog. Then screamed to his mum then ran outside the house to his neighbors and his mum said “I wonder what scared him” then finished off drinking her coffee and watching tv!!! When michael finished his dinner he was already in his PJS and he brushed his teeth and went to bed with his teddy his sister said sarcastically to him “good night sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite” then walked away on her phone texting michael said “good night” back and went to sleep but then at midnight somthing creepy happened he heard a scream he was really scared he held on tight to his teddy bear cause he thought he was going to die!!! He looked under the bed there it was purple and it had two legs and fairy wings nobody but it had hair on her hair michael was so frightened he ran to his mum and he cried “please get rid of the creepy monster in my room” his mum said “fine” and then they both walked to his room michael said “it's under my bed” when mum looked under the bed and the monster was not there he was even more scared mum said “you must have been dreaming” and then she walked away in misery and then heard michaels sister started screaming it happened to her and then when michael's mum they all ran away and locked the freaky monster in the room but then one came from michaels room michael's sister said “how many  are there” mum said “the baby has not been crying yet so i wonder how she is doing”.The mother ran off to check then since michael was not that strong he grabbed his teddy  and then the freaky monster grabbed the string and pulled outside in the morning michael came inside all scratched and muddy he said the freaky monster was his sisters toys and his sister started laughing!!!! THE END.     

Reflection- The easy bit was when i could use imagination!!!

MATARIKI STARS

WALT-We Are Learning about the legend of the seven matariki stars!!!

GOOD FACTS

1. Matariki is officially celebrated on 25 June 2019. 

2.Matariki is found low on the horizon in the north east of the sky.

3.The legend of matariki means the eye of god!!!

4.The stars names are waiti waita waipuna rangi tupuanuku tupunarangi

 ko ururangi te potiki o te whanau o matariki!!! 

5.Heaps of iwis speak of the seven Matariki stars. As a mother and her

daughters they float through the sky!!!

And that is what I know about matariki!!!

the hard bit was cutting out the stars the easy and fun bit was decorating the whare!!!

SWIM SAFE

WALT: we are learning to swim safe.

I am able to float on my back and front. Yes

I can do a front glide with correct kicking. Maybe

I can glide on my back with correct kicking. Yes

I can swim freestyle. Yes

I can swim backstroke. Maybe

I can swim 1 length of freestyle with the correct breathing.not yet

Eight plus two is ten so

Add two on it then it’s twelve

3. 10+9=19

So add one then you get nineteen

Seven plus one is eight

So add four then you get 12

So six plus is nine

Reflection-It was a bit tricky because I was a bit slow at the work. I took a little while

All About Me…….

hello my name is Karanui, but you can just call me Kara. I am a year five at Paparore School. My favourite food would have to be Spanish omelette,  it's delicious. I love  my pet dog and his name is Bolt. he does heaps of tricks like roll over, play dead and the best thing about it is I am his  owner. my favourite game would be gacha life because you get to meet new animals and exotic plants and people. My friends are Hazel because she is a real jaguar, she is faster than me. Kassidie because she helps me snap out of stuff i don't need to know or do. Bobby because she makes me smile. Rynelle because she makes me laugh. And Liv because she Is helpful. When I am older I want to be just like my mum because she is nice, helpful and best of all, rich. I wish i had a tree house two bean bags and a small coffee table so we could have heaps of tea with Tim Tams. my hobby would be baking chocolate cakes and Spanish omelette, delicious! thank you very much for reading all about me!!!

Waitangi day

WALT-We Are Learning about Waitangi day

My Holiday

On the holidays I had a playdate with my bestest friend ever Hazel. First we had to go and pick her up. Straight away we went to Posties.Then we had to go and grab lunch at Indian Spice we ordered butter chicken with naan bread it was going to be delicious. We took it to the park and ate it Me and Hazel were playing lava boots. When we had a little play we went to Te Ahu and we were watching The Amazing Spider-Verse me and Hazel got the front seats to see all the action  We also bought a paddle pop ice cream, a bag of skittles m&ms and pineapple lumps. When the movie was done I wanted to watch it all day long because it was so cool. Mum said, “Do you want to go the lake?” I said “ok.” Then we spent three whole hours it felt fun. We went home early though because I wanted to show Hazel around our house . When we had to drop her off me and Hazel snuck into her room and started playing around while our mums were talking and drinking tea.  When my mum said time to go I ran under the bed. I did not want to go home but I had to so I said bye and went home. That day went fast.
