THE FREAKY TOY

WALT- we are learning to use descrpitive vocab in our writing.

This is the work i have written and edditted myself it is still a

work in progress!!!

Once upon a time there lived a boy called michael. He loved sleeping he had 5 naps a day!!! Unbelievable!!! [AT LUNCH TIME]. He had his lunch then walked to his room and then he heard this weird noise it was so weird he jumped like a startled frog. Then screamed to his mum then ran outside the house to his neighbors and his mum said “I wonder what scared him” then finished off drinking her coffee and watching tv!!! When michael finished his dinner he was already in his PJS and he brushed his teeth and went to bed with his teddy his sister said sarcastically to him “good night sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite” then walked away on her phone texting michael said “good night” back and went to sleep but then at midnight somthing creepy happened he heard a scream he was really scared he held on tight to his teddy bear cause he thought he was going to die!!! He looked under the bed there it was purple and it had two legs and fairy wings nobody but it had hair on her hair michael was so frightened he ran to his mum and he cried “please get rid of the creepy monster in my room” his mum said “fine” and then they both walked to his room michael said “it's under my bed” when mum looked under the bed and the monster was not there he was even more scared mum said “you must have been dreaming” and then she walked away in misery and then heard michaels sister started screaming it happened to her and then when michael's mum they all ran away and locked the freaky monster in the room but then one came from michaels room michael's sister said “how many  are there” mum said “the baby has not been crying yet so i wonder how she is doing”.The mother ran off to check then since michael was not that strong he grabbed his teddy  and then the freaky monster grabbed the string and pulled outside in the morning michael came inside all scratched and muddy he said the freaky monster was his sisters toys and his sister started laughing!!!! THE END.     

Reflection- The easy bit was when i could use imagination!!!

MATARIKI STARS

WALT-We Are Learning about the legend of the seven matariki stars!!!

WHEN IS MATARIKI??? 25 June and 20 of july 

WHERE IS MATARIKI??? 

WHAT IS MATARIKI???

GOOD FACTS

1. Matariki is officially celebrated on 25 June 2019. 

2.Matariki is found low on the horizon in the north east of the sky.

3.The legend of matariki means the eye of god!!!

4.The stars names are waiti waita waipuna rangi tupuanuku tupunarangi

 ko ururangi te potiki o te whanau o matariki!!! 

5.Heaps of iwis speak of the seven Matariki stars. As a mother and her

daughters they float through the sky!!!

And that is what I know about matariki!!!

the hard bit was cutting out the stars the easy and fun bit was decorating the whare!!!

SWIM SAFE

WALT: we are learning to swim safe.

I am able to float on my back and front. Yes

I can do a front glide with correct kicking. Maybe

I can glide on my back with correct kicking. Yes

I can swim freestyle. Yes

I can swim backstroke. Maybe

I can swim 1 length of freestyle with the correct breathing.not yet

when was the last place you went swimming and was it fun!?
